TAX PLANNING · INDIA & UAE

Greater tax clarity.
Better business decisions.

We help businesses and entrepreneurs understand their tax position, assess options and put a practical compliance plan in place across India and the UAE.

PLAN AHEAD WITH CONFIDENCE

Tax advice connected
to the way you do business.

Tax decisions are part of your commercial decisions: where the team operates, who owns the business, how transactions are priced and how funds move between entities.

We review those facts together. Our approach considers legitimate tax efficiencies, documentation and ongoing obligations, helping you understand the implications before implementing a change.

01 UAE

A clear view of
your UAE obligations.

  • Corporate Tax registration, impact assessment and return support
  • Free zone tax eligibility and qualifying-income reviews
  • Tax group, relief and restructuring considerations where applicable
  • Related-party transactions and transfer pricing documentation support
  • VAT registration, return reviews and transaction analysis
  • Tax records, reconciliation and compliance process improvement
02 INDIA

Tax planning aligned
with your Indian business.

  • Business income tax planning and return preparation support
  • Advance tax and withholding tax review
  • GST registration, return review and reconciliation support
  • Export, import and cross-border service tax considerations
  • Tax implications of investment, ownership and restructuring
  • Coordination of assessments, notices and specialist representation where required

A COORDINATED CROSS-BORDER VIEW

When your business spans
India and the UAE.

We connect the tax questions in both jurisdictions with your actual commercial arrangements.

Residency & management

Review personal or corporate residency, where decisions are made and the evidence supporting your position. A residence visa alone does not settle tax residency.

Treaty analysis

Assess the India–UAE tax treaty in context: residency, beneficial ownership, the nature of income and anti-abuse requirements. Treaty relief is subject to eligibility.

Intercompany transactions

Review service fees, goods, loans and other related-party arrangements, with attention to commercial terms and transfer pricing support.

Permanent establishment & POEM

Consider whether activities, people or management create taxable presence or place-of-effective-management risks in another jurisdiction.

Withholding & foreign tax credits

Assess the treatment of cross-border payments and possible relief from double taxation, supported by the relevant documents and filings.

Investment & remittances

Coordinate tax analysis with Indian foreign exchange requirements, including FEMA and overseas investment considerations where relevant.

OUR WORKING APPROACH

From understanding
to implementation.

We scope the work around the questions you need answered and the decisions you need to make.

An engagement may include a written assessment, an options discussion, transaction documentation support and a compliance calendar. Deliverables are agreed before work begins.

  1. 01

    Understand your position

Review entities, ownership, residency, financial information and transaction flows.

  2. 02

    Evaluate the options

Consider the tax treatment, commercial purpose, eligibility conditions and compliance cost.

  3. 03

    Document the approach

Set out the recommended actions, assumptions, supporting records and responsibilities.

  4. 04

    Support & review

Assist with implementation and revisit the plan when the business or applicable rules change.

TAX PLANNING QUESTIONS

Advice starts
with your facts.

Will setting up in the UAE remove my Indian tax obligations?
Not necessarily. Residency, where the business is managed, Indian-source income, permanent establishment, transfer pricing and exchange control rules all require assessment. We look at both jurisdictions together.
Is the India–UAE treaty benefit automatic?
No. The relevant treaty provision, residence status, supporting documents and applicable anti-abuse conditions need to be reviewed for the specific income and transaction.
Do you guarantee a tax saving?
No. We assess lawful planning opportunities against your commercial facts and the applicable rules. Recommendations are based on eligibility and supporting evidence, not a promised outcome.
Can you work with our existing accountant or adviser?
Yes. We can coordinate a defined advisory assignment alongside your existing finance team, accountant, lawyer or specialist adviser.
